Amerion College is committed to applying technology to improve the quality and reduce the cost of post-secondary education. We are strong believers in hybrid education. That means combining digital, online delivery with in-person experiences.
Most Amerion College classes in delivered in asynchronous, online form. This means that students can log in on their own time, while following a weekly sequence of readings and assignments. They interact with other students and faculty through weekly discussion groups. This delivery mode provides busy students with maximum flexibility, while also offering all students enhanced, individualized attention.
One partial exception is our Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting programs, which require in-person learning and demonstration of skills. If you are in one of these programs, we try to offer you flexible options to meet these in-person requirements.
In addition, all career-focused programs require a hybrid element through an in-person externship. In their externships, students enhance their flexible, online learning with the practical, human experience of apprentice-style training in real-life settings.
Finally, our Classical Liberal Arts (CLA) program is offered in a fully hybrid format. This means that for most of the quarter CLA students learn through online, asynchronous delivery. But once each quarter they and their instructors gather in-person at some location in the United States or around the world for an intensive, small-group “wisdom adventure weekend.”
