The Medical Assisting Associate Degree Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). Any person may receive a copy of the college’s accreditation, licensure, or approval documentation by contacting the office of the President by calling 304-697-7550 or submitting a request in writing. 

Amerion College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), an institutional accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. On June 25, 2026, the Higher Learning Commission placed Amerion College on Probation, indicating that the institution no longer meets one or more of HLC’s requirements. Probation is a public sanction that allows the institution a period of time to resolve the areas of concern. Amerion College remains accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, allowing students to continue earning credits and credentials from an accredited institution. The College has already begun implementing a comprehensive improvement plan and is committed to addressing each of the Commission’s findings.
